F5 Networks, the global leader in cloud and security application services, announces the acquisition of its rival, NGINX, Inc., for $670 million.

NGINX is one of the top open-source web servers with Russian roots (founded by Igor Sysoev and Maxim Konovalov), behind only Microsoft and ahead of Google. NGINX powers more than half of the busiest websites in the world, including sites run by Netflix, Starbucks, McDonald's, Dropbox, etc.
